The pandemic spurred a revolution in Microsoft events, transforming them to online events, widening reach and access. MBD and the Microsoft Event Design team collaborated to develop the first Microsoft hybrid show, engineering a new asset program, creating designing intent documentation, and providing on-site installation guidance.
Microsoft events have evolved from a model where all interactions took place in-person now into a Hybrid model, creating a decentralized event with global reach.
The program required an new set of assets to be designed that elevate the customer experience and fulfill the evolving tech needs of a connected hybrid event.
Design development for the event included building the 3D model of the environment. A centralized open studio format keynote was the central hub of this new hybrid show. From this location the show was produced, live broadcasts filmed and broadcast throughout the event venue and online.
All new fixtures were developed and documented with a detailed Design Intent Package ready for fabrication. Fabrication consultation and Onsite support was provided as needed.
